Boxing For All Levels

Boxing is an explosive, anaerobic sport.The act of throwing punches, round after round, while contending with an attacking opponent is a daunting task.It is perhaps the most physically demanding sport of all. The sport has been estimated as approximately 70-80% anaerobic and 20-30% aerobic.Boxing, stresses the muscles at a high intensity for short periods of time.As a boxer, one must punch, slip, and block with split second movements and reactions.

Stronger and Leaner

Strength training essentially uses resistance to build strength, anaerobic endurance (leading to greater performance in short duration), and size of skeletal muscles. When properly performed, strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being. This includes increased bone, muscle, tendon and ligament strength and toughness,improved joint function which reduces the potential for injury, increases bone density, metabolism and fitness while also improving cardiac function.

Sport Specific Training

Sport specific training is simply fitness and performance training designed specifically for athletic performance enhancement. Training programs could include anything from strength, speed, power, endurance, flexibility, mobility, agility,to mental preparedness (including goal setting),sleep, recovery/regeneration techniquesand strategies, nutrition, rehabilitation,pre-habilitation and injury risk reduction.
