Endurance

Endurance training is essential for a variety of endurance sports and generally refers to training the aerobic system (not to be confused with anaerobic, see strength training). Sports like distance running (800 meters all the way up to marathon and even ultra-marathon), cycling (particularly road cycling), competitive swimming, triathlon, rowing and cross country skiing are all aerobic in nature. Endurance exercise can also be used for the purpose of increasing general fitness or burning more calories to increase weight loss potential. Common methods for training include periodization, intervals, hard/easy, long/slow distance, and high-intensity interval training, all of which we offer at Body Studio.
